abstraction
I’ve been cautiously approaching abstraction through portraiture for a while now. One of the reasons I’ve been reluctant is that I can’t quite ‘explain’ the work, but I’m most definitely drawn to create it. As a self-taught artist I didn’t know to mingle with other creatives to review, examine and critique work. As I find myself growing more socially adventurous, I’m realising that I can allow myself to do this, and not just that, but people are responding positively.
“Abstract painting is considered one of the purest forms of expression, as it allows its creator to freely communicate visually without the constraint of forms found in objective reality.”
